Day – 2 Delhi –
Jaisalmer by train
After sumptuous breakfast proceeds for sightseeing tour of Old Delhi.
Delhi - The capital of India has been a center of power almost
continuously since the 13th century. The huge city is divided into Old &
New Delhi, the former also comprise the seventh city of the Mughals;
Shahjahnabad. Places of interest are Qutub Minar built in 1199 rises to a
height of 72.5 metres from a base of 14.32 metres; Humayun's Tomb begun in
1564 is one of the finest examples of garden Tomb, the Red Fort - an
imposing citadel built in the 17th century and Jama Mosque the largest
mosque in India. Also visit Government Buildings, India Gate, President
House and Birla Temple.
Late evening transfer to Delhi Sarai Rohilla station to board overnight
train for Jaisalmer at 1740 hrs. Overnight on board the train.
Day – 3 Jaisalmer
Arrival at Jaisalmer at 12 40 hrs. Warm welcome on arrival and transfer to
hotel. Late afternoon sightseeing tour for Jaisalmer.
Jaisalmer - named
after its founder Rawal Jaisal, the city was founded on the advice of a
local hermit in 1156. Once flourishing with trade and commerce and located
on the ancient silk route, it is now better known for its colossal fort
and beautiful Havelis. Jaisalmer Fort stands almost at a height of 100
metre over the city and houses 99 bastions, a number of entrance gateways
and a group of Jain Temples from 12th to 13th century. The most notable
Havelis of Jaisalmer are Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Patwaon- Ki- Haveli
with their Intricately latticed and conspicuous facades. Overnight stay
at the hotel.
Day – 4 Jaisalmer – Bhoo Village
After sumptuous breakfast start camel safari from Jaisalmer and visit
Dhanawa village. Dhanawa is 17 centuries old Paliwal
Brahim Village from where they were sent away by the
orders of Prime Minister Salam Singh.
After visiting village, mouthwatering delicacies in lunch will be served.
After lunch start safari to reach Bhoo Village. Bhoo is Brahmins & Bhoo
village and the people's main source of earning is farming and cattle
business. Finger licking dinner and overnight stay in tented camp.
Day – 5 Bhoo Village -
Hansua Village
After sumptuous breakfast visit Bhoo village by camel and proceed to
Hansua village. Mountwatering delicacies in lunch at Rani Ki Dhanni.After
lunch start and reach at Hansua Village for overnight stay.
Day – 6
Hansua Village –
Jodhpur
After sumptuous breakfast visit Hansua a farmer's village. Dry farming
fields surround it. Most of the houses are made of stones & sand plasters
and you can see colorful dresses of villagers as they work in the field
and rear animals like sheep, goats, cows and camels. Mouthwatering
delicacies in lunch at the Farm House of Bhati Rajput Warriors at Lakji Ki
Dhani.Later travel by road to Jodhpur. Overnight stay at Jodhpur.
Day – 7 Jodhpur
After sumptuous breakfast sightseeing tour of Jodhpur.
Jodhpur: - Founded in the 15th century by Rao Jodha, this erstwhile
capital of Marwar state occupied an important place in the ancient silk
route along with Bikaner and Jaisalmer. It is still
a Jodhpur is still a leading commercial centre when it comes to cattle,
camels, wood, salt and crops. Mehrangarh Fort is the pride of the city,
spreading across 5 km area on a perpendicular hill at the height of 125
metre. Built on advice of a saint to establish an impregnable
headquarters, the fort has typical latticed windows, carved panels and
elaborately adorned windows. The focal points of the fort are Moti Mahal,
Phool Mahal and Sheesh Mahal and it also houses a collection of musical
instruments, palanquins and royal costumes. Jaswant Thada, the 19th
century white marble royal cenotaphs near the fort are also not worth a
miss. Overnight stay at Jodhpur.
Day – 8
Jodhpur – Jaipur
Early morning travel by road to Jaipur.Upon arrival transfer to hotel at
Jaipur.
Jaipur - City Palace of Jaipur is not its only highlight showcasing
the curious blend of Rajput & Mughal architectural styles. Science lovers
will love Jantar Mantar, an observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh, the
founder of Jaipur in 1728. It is the best preserved one out of the five
that he built. Hawa Mahal with its honeycomb façade looks more like a
delicate screen than a palace. Then, there is Central Museum or the Albert
Hall Museum situated in the Ram Niwas Gardens that have varieties of
curios that attract the tourists like portraits of Maharajas, miniature
paintings, costumes, woodworks, brassware’s, jewellery designs and types
of pottery. After a shopping spree at Jaipur Bazaar, famous for jewellery,
brassware, carvings and textiles, you will certainly love the elephant
ride to the Amber Fort, which is a classical example of Rajput
architecture. The focal points of the fort are Diwani-i-am, Kali Temple
and Jai Mandir or Hall of victory. Overnight stay at Jaipur.
Day – 9
Jaipur
After breakfast tour of Amber Fort.
Tour of the impressive Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur
City. At the foot of the hill you will mount your caparisoned elephant for
the slow but steady climb up to the main gate, making your entrance in the
time honored fashion. The Fort, completed in the early 18th century, took
over 100 years to build and now, although deserted, offers a fascinating
insight into the lifestyle of the Moghul ruling families.
Visit City Palace - Museums of precious and
semi - precious stones, Typical Rajasthani handicrafts. Late evening
proceed to Chokhi Dhani - A five star ethnic village resort (17Kms from
Jaipur) for traditional Rajasthani Food served in traditional manner (Cost
effective too). Enjoy folk Dances, fire dances, Music, Camel Ride and
various other arts being performed by various artisans free of cost.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day – 10
Jaipur – Agra
After a leisurely breakfast the guest travel by road to Agra (232 kms / 5
hours), upon arrival check in at hotel. Late Afternoon visit Taj Mahal
this white marble memorial built by Shah Jahan for his beautiful wife...
Little needs to be said about this architectural wonder, which is always
the soul raison-de-etre for every tourist's visit to Agra.
The guest will
stay at the Taj Mahal till sunset to see this true wonder of the world in
gentle late afternoon light. Overnight at hotel.
Day – 11
Agra -
Delhi
Transfer to International Airport in time to board connecting flight for
onward destination.
